We are seeking a Java developer with microservices experience to join the IBM Z and LinuxONE Security and Compliance Center team. The role requires familiarity with containerized applications and will be focused on back-end application development. Your Role And Responsibilities
- As a member of the Threat Detection for IBM zSystems development team, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the full application stack, developing new features, and implementing new requirements in the backend, application logic and UI. Managing the desired level of automation and integrating the feature delivery into fully automated CI/CD system.
- You are responsible for providing the documentation for our customers as well as providing support to customer support cases and participating in calls with the customers to help resolve any issues a customer might encounter while using our products.
- We are looking for candidates with strong diagnostic, mathematical and statistics skills using industry standard tools and techniques, strong linux skills, strong docker/Kubernetes skills, and a proven background in cloud/OCP based operations.
- Your daily tasks would include resolving alerts on our hosted deployments across various environments, applying security updates in development infrastructure, responding to customer tickets, executing planned changes for the development systems.
- The ideal candidate would have a strong technical aptitude and a flair for picking up new skills

Master's Degree
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- 4+ years of IT experience as a Java developer
- Strong foundational knowledge of containerized deployments.
- Experience working with GitHub managed repositories and workflows.
- Strong debugging/analytical/problem solving skills.
- Good in Design Patterns.
- Experience in unit test cases and/or automation test cases
- Knowledge of Bamboo, Jira, Spring AOP, Junit, SQL query optimization and fine tuning, is a plus.
- Frameworks: J2EE/Spring-boot/Spring + Hibernate
- Experience in Linux/kubernetes/podman/docker commands
- Experience with PostgreSQL and Node.js is a plus.
- Practical development experience with Web Services (SOAP and REST) is a plus.
- Experience in static code analyser tools like sonarqube, codescan, veracode, etc.,
