Overview
Key Responsibilities:
· Work with system owners and local data subject matter experts to gather business data requirements and identify data sources for the migration process.
· Data analysis and profiling of employee data sources to determine the data maturity level of the different sources to develop a data cleansing and enrichment plan for prepping data for data conversion.
· Work with the business to verify mapping from source values to global reference data.
· Ensure that global reference data in the migration process remains in sync with the Workday configuration workbooks.
· Support the business in understanding data cleansing requirements, approach and monitoring data quality through the Workday prototype iterations.
· Partners with the technical workstream to understand data requirements for downstream systems as input into the integration requirements.
· Assist in performing data migration audit, reconciliation and exception reporting.
· Supports identification of data sets required for testing and oversees the creation of anonymised test data sets if required.
· Oversee the execution of test scenarios used to validate data integrity.
· Triage and resolve data defects during test phases.
· Work with the business and programme cutover manager to incorporate local data cutover activities into the ‘release’ cutover plan.
· Provide early life warranty support, including management of data ‘snag’ items and transition activities to operational support.
· Ensure data is managed (transferred) securely in line with data privacy & PII/SPII standards (includes scrambling/anonymisation of data where required).
· Ensure that data activities are performed to the schedule, that status is reported on a weekly basis to the Global HCM Data Lead, and that data-related risks and issues are identified, managed and escalated for support where required.
Skill Requirements:
· Proven track record in migrating large and complex legacy data within a global or regional templated solution in a transformational environment
· Proficiency in the principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of data conversion and migration
· Broad understanding of application design and data structures.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
· Experience with HR processes and Systems, e.g., SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle in a data migration role.
· Highly motivated, flexible team player who can deliver promptly and professionally.
· Organization skills that enable the successful delivery of the project work and the ability to identify potential issues.
· Effective, proactive communication skills with all stakeholders, including team members, peers, business stakeholders and managers.
· Proficiency in data analysis tools, including Excel (Formulae, VBA, PowerQuery, Pivot Tables), Python.
