Overview

Role & Responsibilities:

• WordPress Development: Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins with a focus on usability, performance, and security.
• Customization & Integration: Customize existing themes and plugins based on client requirements. Integrate third-party tools and APIs.
• Site Optimization: Optimize website performance by improving page load speeds, ensuring mobile responsiveness, and implementing SEO best practices.
• Content Management: Update and manage website content, ensuring it aligns with the company’s objectives and is consistently up-to-date.
• Troubleshooting & Debugging: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve website issues such as bugs, performance problems, and compatibility issues.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing on different browsers, devices, and platforms to ensure compatibility and quality.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to implement new features and designs.
• Maintenance & Updates: Regularly update WordPress core, themes, and plugins to ensure the website remains secure and up-to-date.
• Client Support: Provide technical support and assistance to clients as required, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience: 2+ years of experience as a WordPress Developer or similar role.
• Strong Knowledge of WordPress: Proficiency in creating custom themes, plugins, and troubleshooting within the WordPress ecosystem.
• Front-End Development: Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• PHP & MySQL: Experience with server-side programming in PHP and working with MySQL databases.
• Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• SEO Best Practices: Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices for WordPress websites.
• Responsive Design: Expertise in building responsive websites using frameworks such as Bootstrap or custom media queries.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to spot errors and inconsistencies quickly, with a keen eye for design and UI/UX principles.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with E-commerce Platforms: Experience with WooCommerce or other WordPress eCommerce plugins.
• Familiarity with Page Builders: Experience with page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, or similar.
• RESTful API Integration: Experience in integrating external APIs into WordPress.
• UI/UX Design Knowledge: Basic understanding of UI/UX principles to ensure the website is user-friendly.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (preferred).
• 2+ years of professional experience in WordPress development
