Overview
Job Title: Window System Administrator
As a Windows System Administrator, you will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization. You will work closely with the IT team to ensure the smooth operation of all systems and networks, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and end-user problems.
Responsibilities:
System Maintenance and Configuration:
Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems and applications.
Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and availability.
Perform regular system updates and upgrades.
Server Administration:
Manage Windows servers, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file servers.
Configure and maintain virtualization on platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions.
Network Management:
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Configure and maintain network switches, routers, and firewalls.
Implement and maintain VPN solutions for remote access.
Security Compliance:
Implement security measures to protect systems and data from unauthorized access.
Monitor systems for security breaches and respond to incidents promptly.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
User Support:
To provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues.
Assist in the setup and configuration of new user accounts and devices.
To Train users on basic system usage and best practices.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Generate reports on system performance, security incidents, and user support activities.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a Windows System Administrator or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (2008/2012/2016/2019).
Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other Windows server roles.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
Knowledge of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, VPN, VLANs, etc.).
Experience with security tools and practices, such as firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection/prevention on systems.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
