Windows System Administrator

Overview

Key Responsibilities:

· To install, configure, and maintain Windows server hardware and software infrastructure to ensure reliability and the performance of a system.

· To manage Active Directory functions such as creating group policy, managing user accounts, domain security protocols, and so on.

· Monitor the performance of the system, troubleshoot the problems encountered, and ensure solutions are found quickly to minimize downtime.

· Develop and monitor the network security measures installed to prevent data, software, and hardware attacks.

· Implement the latest upgrades and patches to protect vulnerabilities and install these updates on your systems routinely.

· Conduct regular backup operations and establish appropriate processes in data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.

· Collaborate with the network staff to ensure that the installed software and systems will run satisfactorily and efficiently towards business objectives and processes.

· Maintain records of configurations, mappings, processes, and services.

· Administer the servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates, and patches.

· Using virtual environments by utilizing technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.

· Technical assistance and advisory to all users in relation to their specific needs. It provides an opportunity to ensure that every user gets a chance to use the product effectively.

· Collaboration with vendors and other technical support teams to resolve technical issues related to computing hardware and software.

Qualification:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or similar field and/or relevant experience.

· Good knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance.

· Ability to create scripts in Perl, Python, and other related languages.

· Database experience, patch management, and networks including LAN and WAN.

· Knowledge of new operating systems and server platforms.

· Knowledge of the network security system, intrusion detection system, and data backup.

Excellent problem-solving skills and good analytical and communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,888.95 - ₹30,412.19 per month
