You will join the Remote Actions Team, which is critical to the success of Nexthink ACT. This team builds efficient and reliable automation scripts that run seamlessly across diverse environments, contributing to a transformative employee experience.
As part of the Remote Actions team, you will:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer needs related to endpoint incident and problem management, as well as data retrieval for end-user support.
- Develop and maintain remote actions—robust automation scripts for efficient issue resolution and data collection.
- Ensure scripts run predictably and effectively on Windows and macOS endpoints for millions of users.
- Align solutions with the Nexthink platform’s architecture and ecosystem.
- Contribute to improving best development practices within the team.
- Coordinate with the Level 3 (L3) support team to diagnose and fix bugs.
- Work autonomously while embracing a collaborative team culture.
- Tackle challenges outside of your comfort zone to drive innovation and excellence.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in scripting within large IT environments, focusing on endpoint/application management or system administration for Windows/macOS endpoints.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python.
- Familiarity with Jenkins for automation and continuous integration.
- Experience applying logging techniques and performing code reviews.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A strong understanding of best practices for writing concise, well-tested code compatible with multiple operating systems.
- Experience debugging directly or in remote environments.
- Passion for continuous integration, delivery, and automating testing and release environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Windows/macOS management internals, including:
- Windows technologies (e.g., GPO, WMI, registry, APIs, Event Log, WSUS).
- macOS technologies (e.g., MDM, Jamf).
- Familiarity with agile methodologies, such as SCRUM.
