Web Developer-Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Web Development Manager to lead and manage our web development team focused on building and maintaining e-commerce websites using ASP.NET, Angular, and HTML. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development lifecycle, from planning through to deployment and ongoing maintenance, ensuring high-quality and scalable web solutions for our online store.

As a Web Development Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, UX/UI designers, marketing, and other stakeholders, to deliver exceptional user experiences and optimize e-commerce performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, offering feedback and professional development opportunities for team members.
• Ensure the development team adheres to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
• Oversee the end-to-end development process for e-commerce websites, ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements.
• Collaborate with product managers to define project scope, requirements, and timelines.
• Track and report on progress, managing priorities and ensuring that project milestones are met.
• Design and implement scalable and efficient web applications using ASP.NET, Angular, and HTML.
• Provide technical direction on architecture and design for complex e-commerce solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve high-level technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal site performance.
• E-Commerce Development:
• Ensure that e-commerce sites are optimized for high performance, security, and user experience.
• Integrate e-commerce features such as payment gateways, product catalogs, shopping carts, order processing, and customer account management.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure the website is responsive and user-friendly across devices and browsers.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in web development and e-commerce.
• Evaluate and implement new tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance development productivity and site performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders including product owners, designers, and QA teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders, providing technical insights and explanations as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in web development with a focus on ASP.NET, Angular, and HTML.
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role, overseeing development teams and projects.
• Strong experience in building and maintaining large-scale e-commerce websites or applications.
• Familiarity with modern e-commerce platforms, content management systems (CMS), and payment systems integration.
• Technical Skills:
• Expertise in ASP.NET, C#, Angular, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of front-end and back-end development practices.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) and deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of databases such as SQL Server and familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with shifting priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Azure or other cloud computing platforms for web application deployment.
• Familiarity with e-commerce frameworks (e.g., Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce).
• Knowledge of web security practices and performance optimization techniques.
