Web Developer Job Description

A web developer designs, builds, and maintains websites and web applications. They use programming languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create the structure and functionality of a website. Responsibilities

• Design: Create the layout of a website's pages, including graphics and user interface
• Write code: Write, test, and document code in programming languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Optimize: Optimize websites for speed, performance, and scalability
• Troubleshoot: Troubleshoot and fix bugs in existing projects
• Maintain: Maintain and expand websites, including creating new features and improving existing ones
• Collaborate: Collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements
• Research: Research new technologies, frameworks, and languages
• Test: Test new features and applications in different browsers and environments
• Document: Document code so other developers can understand and contribute to it

Responsibilities

• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
• Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
• Create and maintain software documentation
• Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
• Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent

Skills and qualifications

• Knowledge of programming languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Understanding of design and usability concepts
• Good communication skills
• Ability to learn and test new technologies
• Ability to project manage

Web developers may also work on creating content for the site.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
