Job Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Ability to understand requirements and technical reference documents and be able to review and escalate any issues/gaps during the initial stage of the project.
- Ability to write manual test cases for applications.
- Execute various types of tests (ex: Web, Mobile, DB, API & etc.)
- Ability to report test results to the leads and defect reporting.
- Responsible for automating Web applications.
- Responsible for setting up the automation framework and environments required for successful completion of Automation.
- Responsible for fixing any issues on automation scripts.
- Responsible for setting up CI/CD pipelines for different environments.
- Ability to understand, troubleshoot and differentiate defects, data issues and requirement gaps.
- Responsible for on-time delivery and timely escalations/update of risks, issues, status and exemptions to leadership.
- Effective communication with the team, leadership, vendor partners, internal and external customers covering all aspects of team needs both onshore and offshore.
- Awareness of different software development and QA methodologies.
- Stay up to date with the latest automation tools, technologies and trends.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Experience in banking/fintech applications testing
- Online Banking Experience is preferred
- Web app automation using Selenium is a MUST
- Knowledge in one of the languages – Java/Kotlin/C#
- Working experience of CI/CD using Bamboo, Jenkins or any equivalent tool
- Code management tool like Git or any equivalent tool
- Ability to work with a variety of databases and coding programs, such as, Java, HTML, as well as XML and JSON feeds
- Experience in API testing and use of tools like POSTMAN, Charles and BURP is good to have
- Experience in test management tools such as JIRA, X-Ray & Confluence
- Cucumber / Gherkins is an added advantage
- Ability to self-learn and grasp the knowledge quickly
- Self-motivated and ability to work with the business
- Growth mindset and not afraid of a challenge
- Familiarity with various development methodologies, especially Agile and Scrum
- Good analytical skills, troubleshooting and resolution skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are a MUST.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in the technology industry, along with relevant tertiary qualifications.
- 7+ year of experience in Automation is a must.
General Responsibilities
Flexibility: The post holder may be required to work at any of the Mitra sites in line with service & operational needs. The post holder may be required to undertake such other duties temporarily, or on a continuing basis as may be required commensurate with this role. This may include periods of time working on client premises and / or internationally.
