Tester III - Performance Tester

Location: Trivandrum/Kochi

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Performance Tester to join our team with 3-5 years of experience. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing performance tests, analyzing performance issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal application performance. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in load, stress, and scalability testing using industry-standard tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performance Testing: Develop and execute load, stress, scalability, and endurance tests to assess the application performance under various conditions.
• Issue Identification & Analysis: Analyze test results to identify performance bottlenecks, such as slow response times, high resource usage, or system failures, and provide actionable recommendations for improvements.
• Automated Testing Scripts: Design, develop, and maintain automated performance testing scripts using tools like JMeter and LoadRunner.
• Monitoring Key Metrics: Track and report key performance metrics (e.g., response time, throughput, CPU, memory usage) during testing to ensure optimal system performance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to diagnose and resolve performance-related issues efficiently.
• Documentation & Reporting: Document test results with detailed analysis, identifying risks, and providing recommendations to stakeholders.
• Continuous Integration: Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines for ongoing performance validation.
• Trend Analysis: Report on performance trends, potential risks, and suggested improvements, and ensure communication of findings to all relevant stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in Performance Testing.
• Hands-on experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, and other related tools.
• Strong understanding of performance metrics such as response time, throughput, CPU utilization, and memory usage.
• Experience in analyzing test results and identifying bottlenecks and issues.
• Familiarity with continuous integration (CI) and DevOps processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex performance issues.
• Excellent communication skills to report findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of web and mobile applications testing is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to cloud-based testing (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Experience with APM (Application Performance Management) tools like New Relic, AppDynamics, or similar.
• Experience with scripting (e.g., Python, Shell) for test automation.
