
Overview
You will be part of Product Engineering - Subscriber Signaling and Policy(SSP) under Product System Test(PST) organization. You will be part of the System Verification team for our core network products.
The Applied R&D Engineer conducts target-oriented research to directly apply findings to the specification, design, further development, and incremental improvement of products, services, systems, tools, processes, etc. Integrates, verifies, tests, and modifies SW /system components and capitalizes on innovative solutions to meet particular requirements and specifications.
8+ years of experience in System test experience in Functional and non-Functional areas with high-traffic, large-scale distributed systems and client-server architectures.
Requirements
- 6+ years of relevant Software Test experience in telco grade products
- 5+ years of Test experience in functional & Non-functional (Performance, Robustness, etc) & serviceability areas with large-scale distributed systems
- Good working knowledge in Cloud, K8s core technologies with hands on python scripting.
- Prior experience in interfacing with customers in understanding their deployments and use cases in the areas of Serviceability.
- Good working knowledge in CSD, PCRF, VOLTE, DRA, SCP, BSF, SEPP in 4G/5G core technologies
- 4G/5G Core Network knowledge is desired, preferable to have knowhow about HLR, HSS, UDM, EIR, SDL, OneNDS & exposure to 3GPP standards.
- Good Hands-on knowledge on Diameter/HTTP2 signaling domain, JSON, RestAPI, SCTP, TCP with core products e.g. Load Balancers
- Good hands-on experience in Linux, Kubernetes, VMWare, OpenStack and working with CSF Assets & Blueprints like BVNF/BCMT/BELK
- In depth and working experience with cloud-ready, cloud-native, micro services and containers architecture, Devops.
- Demonstrated expertise with scripting, tracing tools (Wireshark, tShark etc) and automation framework
- Working knowledge on the toolsets like Jira, Jenkins or Bamboo
- Able to bring in innovative practices for chaotic programmable performance tests like Chaos Monkey, Janitor Monkey etc
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a software related discipline.
