Test Lead

The Test Lead will be responsible for managing the system integration (end to end) testing processes for our software applications, ensuring that they meet our high-quality standards. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing test plans, and executing comprehensive testing strategies to support various IT delivery teams within AXA XL’s Global Technology organization. The role holder will also demonstrate a best-in-class level of expertise in test management, testing best practices, test automation and introduce industry best practices within the team.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
- Develop and implement effective test strategies and plans for Global Technology software projects.
Define testing scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Manage all aspects of testing including estimation, design, execution, defect management, status reporting, test closure,monitoring & control as well as collecting & reporting testing metrics to drive quality improvement.
- Identify, communicate & track testing risks and issues then help develop mitigation plans to bring them to closure.
Provide vision, direction and goals for the team supporting our test automation tools and test tools.
Best-in-class knowledge of testing tools, trends, and best practices to support global technologies test automation (including Selenium,UFT), performance testing tools (including JMETER, GATLING and Performance Center) and test management tools (including JIRA with X-Ray plug-in).
In-depth knowledge of different test automation frameworks covering UI , Webservices , ETL and performance testing.
Work with our vendors and delivery teams to provide guidance and support whilst implementing our recommended testing tools and best practices for automation, test management and performance testing to support our business and global technology objectives.
Drive forward Global Technology’s Testing Centre of Exellence roadmap to deliver test process and test automation improvements to your assigned projects.
- Provide guidance and expertise as lead SME for our recommended testing tools and best practices.
Coordinate and support UAT activities with end-users.
Support internal and external audits to ensure services are delivered in a controlled fashion without undue risk to the company.
Manage service levels to ensure all test tooling and best practice commitments are met and any variances mitigated to reduce the impact on overall cost, schedule, and quality for business needs.
Implements and monitors SLA / KPI alignment across the team and range of testing tools.
Estimate work requests at various levels of confidence and manage estimates against actuals to ensure change controls are appropriately managed.
Act as the key conduit between the Testing Centre of Excellence team and the wider organizational standards, structures and processes.
Work with the TCoE to understand our best practices and effectively implement them on your assigned project to achieve our expected quality results.
- Clearly report on the status of testing to stakeholders via stand-up meetings and reports.
Participate in all agaile cerimonies as they relate to testing.

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
Required Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.-
Excellent experience in managing and leading testing teams. - Familiarity with TMMi and ISTQB best practices and processes and how to implement them.
- Ability to clearly communicate (verbal & written) with project stakeholders and testing team.
- Demonstrated planning and organizational skills, including workload prioritization & realistic timescales.
Proficient in programming languages such as Java , Python , Javascript.
- Experience in defining the KPIs and metrics to measure the testing efficiency.
- Expertise in UAT, system integration testing, load testing, and test automation with Selenium.

Expertise in designing and development of the test automation framework using tools such as Java , Selenium , RestAssured. - Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration with testing processes. -
- Experience of using frameworks such as TestNG, Junit or Cucumber.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of AI/ML based testing solutions.- Excellent understanding of Scrum Agile methodology and experience working in a Scrum team.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate test automation goals and influence decisions.
