Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Test Engineer to join our electronics manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing test processes to ensure the quality and functionality of electronic products. They must have a strong ability to read and interpret schematics and an in-depth understanding of electronic circuits, including analog, digital, and power electronics. The Test Engineer will work closely with design, production, and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize testing efficiency, and maintain high product reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement automated and manual test procedures for electronic assemblies and PCBAs.
- Create test plans, procedures, and test cases for new and existing products.
- Select, configure, and maintain test equipment, fixtures, and software tools.
- Work with the design team to review schematics and PCB layouts to ensure Design for Testability (DFT) is incorporated.
- Perform functional, in-circuit, and system-level testing to identify defects and performance issues.
- Troubleshoot PCBs, embedded systems, and electronic circuits down to the component level using schematics, oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic tools.
- Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
- Utilize knowledge of power supplies, sensors, microcontrollers, and analog/digital signal processing for effective debugging.
- Continuously optimize test procedures to improve efficiency and reduce test cycle time.
- Maintain detailed documentation of test procedures, test reports, and failure analysis.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with R&D, production, and quality teams to resolve design and manufacturing issues.
- Provide technical support for RMAs, and customer returns.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in test engineering within an electronics manufacturing environment.
- Experience with automated test equipment (ATE), ICT, and functional testing.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting PCBAs and electronic circuits using schematics.
Technical Skills:
- Strong ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and PCB layouts.
- Deep understanding of electronic circuits, including analog, digital, and power electronics.
- Knowledge of microcontrollers, embedded systems, and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, etc.).
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
