Database Quality Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Utilize a UBS custom tailored application deployment framework (EUPS) to deliver Application Releases into the enterprise environment, most are packaged as AppV, Numecent, or MSI packages.
• Deliver new or updated application releases that target over 100’000 users and over 20’000 physical machines.
• Collaborate locally within a team of up to five individuals in India, and work remotely with team members in Switzerland and USA.
• Ensure support of Application Deployers in the team, and custom database solution operates with reliable updates.
• Occasionally participate in application deployment tasks.
• Run complex tests over application deployment framework PostgreSQL Database and Front-End client (WebUI and fat Client)
• Document the solutions at an engineering level as well at the user level
• Provide the support for stakeholders and users
• Troubleshoot Application Deployment Issues (work on Support Queue)

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with writing complex SQL Queries (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Solid understanding of SQL Relational Databases
• Organized individual with attention to detail and quality
• Good communication skills
