ABOUT
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing manufacturing processes and provide technical support to our vendors in their machining, sheet metal, fabrication, and welding operations. The role requires a focus on improving process efficiency, ensuring product quality, and supporting production goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in these areas and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
JOB DESCRIPTION
o Understanding of 3D printed technologies and their application in process optimisation.
o Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing processes and outputs.
o Address and resolve any issues related to material quality or delivery.
o Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
o Assist in the design and implementation of tooling and fixtures.
o Prepare and present reports on manufacturing performance and improvement initiatives.
o Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
o Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
o Strong knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, coupled with hands-on experience, is highly desirable and will be considered a strong asset for this role.
o Strong Understanding of Hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, troubleshooting
o Understanding of electrical circuits and its integration with hydraulics systems.
PROFILE
Preferred Skills:
o Experience working with a supplier base in the aerospace or automotive industry.
o Project management experience.
o Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
o Familiarity with ERP systems and data analysis tools.
Working Conditions:
o Office and supplier site environments.
o Travel to supplier locations as required.
