We are looking for a motivated and experienced Technical Scrum Master to lead our DevOps, SRE, and First Responder teams. These teams are responsible for maintaining the stability, reliability, and performance of our critical systems and services, while ensuring quick response to incidents and driving a culture of continuous improvement.

Technical Scrum Master (DevOps, SRE, First Responder Team)
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Technical Scrum Master to lead our DevOps, SRE, and First Responder teams. These teams are responsible for maintaining the stability, reliability, and performance of our critical systems and services, while ensuring quick response to incidents and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Scrum events (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective) to promote active participation, decision-making, and ongoing improvements.
- Coach and mentor the team on Agile practices, fostering self-organization and high performance.
- Develop a deep understanding of the team’s technical stack, including Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, Helm, Kubernetes (GKE), and Cloud Networking.
- Educate stakeholders on Agile principles, promoting transparency and collaboration across teams.
- Identify and remove impediments that hinder team progress, ensuring smooth workflow.
- Collaborate with external teams and stakeholders to resolve dependencies and unblock progress.
- Escalate issues as necessary to appropriate channels.
- Champion continuous improvement, identifying process inefficiencies and facilitating discussions for optimization.
- Lead retrospective meetings, track action items, and ensure follow-through.
- Promote automation and DevOps best practices, streamlining workflows and reducing manual effort.
- Foster a transparent and collaborative environment within the team.
- Communicate team progress and challenges clearly to stakeholders.
- Work with application owners and stakeholders to clarify priorities and objectives.
- Contribute to technical discussions and provide solutions to complex issues.
- Understand and communicate technical risks and dependencies effectively.
- Generate performance reports to track team progress and challenges.
- Facilitate incident postmortem meetings, promoting a blameless analysis to identify root causes.
- Work with the team to implement corrective actions, preventing future incidents.
- Ensure adherence to incident response processes, maintaining a structured approach.
- Guide the team through the change approval process, ensuring compliance with Equifax’s Change Management process.
- 6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, ideally in a technical environment.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification.
- In-depth understanding of Agile principles and frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- PMP Certification.
- Experience working with SRE, DevOps, or First Responder teams.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging systems.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Experience in incident management and change management processes.
