Job Overview:The Technical Liaison / Champion will act as a bridge between the NESP function unit (FU) and the local engineering entity, ensuring alignment in engineering execution, technical standardization, and best practices. The role focuses on strategic projects, including CO₂ recovery/liquefaction, Amine Wash, small-scale LNG, and energy recovery solutions. This individual will lead technical coordination efforts to establish an Engineering Excellence Center, enhancing engineering capabilities within the local entity
Responsibilities:- Act as the primary technical interface between the NESP function unit and the local engineering team.
- Ensure seamless integration of FU engineering requirements into local entity workflows.
- Drive engineering best practices and standardization across CO₂ recovery, Amine Wash, small-scale LNG, and energy recovery solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASME, API, ISO, NFPA, etc.).
- Guide the local engineering team to deliver error-free designs and calculations.
- Establish process workflows to improve engineering efficiency and reduce rework.
- Review and validate engineering deliverables to meet function unit expectations.
- Support feasibility studies, conceptual designs, and detailed engineering for strategic projects.
- Facilitate training programs to enhance technical competencies in CO₂ recovery, Amine Wash, LNG, and energy recovery.
- Act as a mentor to local engineers, transferring knowledge from the function unit.
- Lead workshops and discussions on emerging technologies and innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with NESP function unit leaders to align engineering priorities.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions.Act as a liaison for suppliers and third-party vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensuring technical decisions align with industry standards and company policies.
- Keeping up with regulatory requirements and certifications.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing
- Maintaining up-to-date records of technical discussions, decisions, and changes.
- Ensuring knowledge transfer across teams to build technical competency.
Risk Management
- Identifying potential technical risks early in the project.
- Developing mitigation strategies to prevent delays and cost overruns.
- Approve technical solutions and design standardizations for strategic projects.
- Recommend process improvements to optimize engineering efficiency.
- Represent the local engineering entity in technical discussions with the function unit.
Supervisory Responsibility
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the local engineering team.
- Support talent development initiatives to build subject matter expertise in strategic projects.
- Coordinate workload distribution and ensure efficient resource utilization.

Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of CO₂ recovery, liquefaction, Amine Wash processes, energy recovery, and small-scale LNG.
- Experience in designing and optimizing process systems for strategic energy projects.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards (ASME, API, NFPA, ISO, IEC, etc.).
- Ability to manage complex engineering projects while ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Experience in process optimization, standardization, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate between function unit and local entity.
- Ability to translate complex engineering requirements into clear, actionable deliverables.
- Analytical mindset to identify and resolve technical challenges effectively.
- Ability to make informed decisions based on engineering data and project needs.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Process (or related field).
