Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Senior Engineer - Endpoint Management (specializing in Mac) to lead end to end management of our Mac ecosystem. This role focuses on automation, security, compliance, and zero-touch deployments to ensure a seamless experience for Mac users across the organization. The role will be responsible for the engineering, delivery, and operations of the Bank’s Mac Device Management platform. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of Microsoft Intune, JAMF, and DevOps methodologies.
As a key technical leader, you will drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD for Mac Management, and Zero Trust security strategies while working closely with IT, Security, and DevOps teams
Key Responsibilities
Mac Platform & Device Management
- Oversee Microsoft Intune & Jamf Pro for macOS device management.
- Implement zero-touch deployment using Apple Business Manager (ABM) + Intune + Jamf.
- Develop Intune Configuration Profiles & Jamf Policies for app management, compliance, and security.
- Manage OS patching & software deployment through automation pipelines.
- Enforce Zero Trust security with Conditional Access & Defender for Endpoint (MDE).
- Automate FileVault encryption, firewall, Gatekeeper, and security policies.
- Ensure compliance with CIS benchmarks, SOC2, and enterprise security standards.
- Integrate SIEM solutions (Azure Sentinel, Splunk) for security monitoring.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or PowerShell DSC.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) for policy deployment.
- Automate macOS device provisioning, app installations, and patching workflows.
- Utilize Jamf API & Intune Graph API for scripting and policy automation.
- Set up real-time compliance monitoring and auto-remediation workflows.
- Establish alerting & reporting using Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Defender ATP, and SIEM tools.
- Automate incident response for non-compliant or compromised devices.
- Implement Jamf Self Service & Intune Company Portal for self-service application access.
- Automate onboarding/offboarding workflows to enhance employee experience.
- Collaborate with IT Helpdesk teams for escalated Mac-related support issues.
- Work closely with Security, IT, DevOps, and Compliance teams.
- Manage vendor relationships with Apple, Microsoft, and Jamf.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies to optimize the Mac environment.
Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Enterprise IT environments
- 5+ years in managing enterprise MAC ecosystems
- Strong experience managing macOS devices with Intune & Jamf.
- Proficiency in Bash, Python, PowerShell, or AppleScript for automation.
- Experience with Intune Configuration Profiles & Jamf Policies.
- Hands-on knowledge of Jamf API, Intune Graph API, and Power Automate.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.).
- Knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, or PowerShell DSC for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Familiarity with Apple Business Manager (ABM) & Automated Device Enrollment (ADE).
- Expertise in macOS security (FileVault, Gatekeeper, XProtect, Defender ATP).
- Understanding of Zero Trust security models & Conditional Access policies.
- Experience with SIEM tools (Azure Sentinel, Splunk) for log analysis & security monitoring.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
Soft skills:
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices in IT service management.
- Ability to lead and mentor teams in Mac management and automation.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams.
- Good knowledge on technical writing - authoring technical documentation.
