Technical Lead - Java/AngularJS

Core Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture :

• Architect, develop, and deploy robust and scalable POS applications using Java (Spring Framework, Hibernate) and Angular (16+).
• Design and implement cloud-native architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Establish and optimize CI/CD pipelines, leveraging tools like Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and deployment.
  
  

Team Leadership & Process Management

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, promoting a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
• Set clear goals, manage priorities, and ensure adherence to Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Collaborate with global teams in the Philippines and Australia to define and execute product roadmaps.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, enforce best practices, and optimize development workflows.
  
  

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and introduce new tools and methodologies to enhance development processes.
• Ensure adherence to security, performance, and architectural best practices.
• Drive DevOps efficiency by leveraging containerization (Docker) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  
  

Requirements

Experience : 8+ years of experience in Java development (Spring Framework, Hibernate).

Leadership : 3+ years in a senior/principal engineering role with team leadership responsibilities.

Frontend Development : Strong hands-on experience in Angular (16+) for frontend development.

Cloud Expertise : Experience designing and implementing scalable cloud-based solutions (GCP preferred, AWS is a plus).

Database Knowledge : Strong knowledge of SQL and exposure to tools like JasperReports and Firebase.

CI/CD Management : Proficiency in CI/CD management using GitHub Actions and build tools like Maven, Ant, and GitHub.

Testing & Observability : Experience with automated testing frameworks (Marathon) and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).

Soft Skills : Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Communication : Excellent English communication skills, with experience working in distributed global teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Domain Knowledge: Experience in POS or similar software domains.

DevOps & Containerization: Exposure to DevOps and containerization (Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes).

Security: Strong understanding of security best practices in software development.
