Are you an experienced IT Business Analyst looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic, SAP-based financial closing environment? Look no further! We're seeking a talented Senior IT Business Analyst to join our team and drive innovation, efficiency, and excellence in our financial systems and closing processes.
About The Role
As a Technical Business Analyst II you would perform a pivotal role between our team and various stakeholders to maintain and enhance the new software. This includes introduction of new or enhanced functionality, validating it both during testing but also in productive runs. You are interacting with the global user community permanently in order to ensure alignment, educate and provide support.
Key Responsibilities
The FPSL subledger liability is an international product team consisting of experienced professionals with varying backgrounds. We provide the platform to perform global and local closings in IFRS for (re)insurance contracts. The core of this platform is an SAP solution embedded into an evolving landscape to enrich the data provided to us and ultimately produce financial statements for the quarterly finance closing process.

You are a strategic and creative problem solver when dealing with challenges and opportunities. Your strong social skills make it easier for you to work within a team. Flexibility and curiosity play a role in your ability to learn new skills quickly. You are highly self driven with ownership mindset and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, while managing multiple priorities simultaneously. You have a curious mindset to continuously learn and improve both your skills as well as the SAP solution.

About The Role

- Collaborate with global stakeholders to understand business objectives and requirements, and translate them into IT solutions
- Act as a challenger of overly complex solutions and strive for usage of standard components
- Establish self as subject matter expert on system & processes providing guidance and support to stakeholders and team members
- Drive topics of system changes & customizations through solutioning, implementation and tests
- Support E2E system operations with regards to quarter close process, incident handling, process documentation, etc.

Must haves
- University degree in technical, financial, or business field (or comparable education/degree)
- Minimum five years of experience as business analyst with IT systems
- Experienced on working product changes and operations with focus on process standardization, optimization and documentation
- Demonstrated good knowledge of MS Office and SQL
- Basic knowledge of accounting and financial reporting
- Willingness to learn a scripting language for formulating test cases
- Previous experience with SAP FPSL
- Knowledge of IFRS or even IFRS17
- Experience with Agile ways of working (SCRUM/Kanban)
