Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Project Coordinator cum Technical Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. This hybrid role is essential to ensuring the smooth coordination of projects while simultaneously providing technical expertise and business analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Agile methodologies, especially Scrum, and will serve as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with project managers to track progress and ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and managing project timelines and deliverables.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and project alignment.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and meeting minutes.
- Monitor project progress and report on milestones, risks, and issues.
- Support project managers in ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
2. Technical Business Analysis:
- Gather, document, and analyze business requirements from stakeholders to ensure clear communication to development teams.
- Create functional specifications, process flows, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure solution design aligns with business objectives.
- Facilitate requirements discussions, user story development, and backlog grooming.
3. Agile & Scrum Facilitation:
- Lead or participate in Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
- Act as the point of contact for the Scrum team, ensuring all members are aligned with project goals.
- Assist in managing the product backlog and ensuring it aligns with stakeholder priorities.
- Identify and remove impediments for the team to ensure efficient project delivery.
4. Requirements Gathering:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements.
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and analyses to elicit requirements.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
5. Analysis and Documentation:
- Analyze and evaluate business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Develop detailed documentation including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and user stories.
- Create process flow diagrams, use cases, and data models to support requirements.
6. Solution Design and Validation:
- Work closely with the technical team to design solutions that meet business needs.
- Validate that the developed solutions align with the requirements and business objectives.
- Participate in system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), and support the deployment process.
7. Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure alignment.
- Facilitate regular meetings to update stakeholders on project progress and address any issues.
Preferred Qualifications & Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
- Experience in both Waterfall and Agile project management environments.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC).
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst in a software development environment.
- Must have experiane in a product-based company.
- Proven experience in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
- Experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and Agile frameworks.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (especially Scrum).
- Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, or similar).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio).
- Strong understanding of databases, data analysis, and SQL.
- Familiarity with programming languages and software development practices is a plus.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and industry best practices.
- Provide technical insights and recommendations to support business objectives.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of software, tools, and technologies.
Certifications are a plus:
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) is highly desirable.
- Agile certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) are advantageous.
- Technical certifications related to software development or data analysis (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate) are a plus.
