- Collaborate with development teams to integrate infrastructure and deployment pipelines in the SDLC.
- Build and setup new CI/CD tooling and pipelines for application build and release.
- Work with developers to ensure development follows established processes and patterns.
- Contribute to application enhancements to drive better observability/telemetry and increased resiliency
- Write high quality, reusable code – scripts, templates, manifests
- Create DevOps culture and impact the organization towards lean software development
- Strategize on key decisions impacting application lifecycle and related operations – BCM / DR / HA / Data governance.
Your team
You will be part of a high-performing team of experts supporting Core Platform Engineering services that enable our engineers to be productive. In particular, you will be building and supporting our Tier-1 shared infrastructure offering hosting critical applications driving engineering at USB. You will be part of a committed, quality driven technical team working on Azure Cloud, Containerization, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Unix, and more. You will have a chance to define and build patterns, practices, automate processes, participate in the inner-source campaign and influence the DevOps culture at UBS.
Your expertise
- experience with DevOps tools for Code Build & Version Control, Test and Deployment
- proficient in Software Delivery Lifecycle or Service Management
- experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform / ARM
- experience with building and supporting infrastructure for business critical applications
- experience implementing HA and DR strategies, running BCM activities
- experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and practices for highly available applications.
- experience with scripting / coding in one or more of the following – Python, Shell, PowerShell, Go, JavaScript/Typescript
- good working knowledge on cloud technologies, particularly Azure and Kubernetes
- hands-on experience with Unix, containerization and orchestration
- experience in monitoring and observability using AppDynamics, Prometheus, Grafana, Azure App Insights
- expertise in Incident and Change Management will be an added advantage
- comfortable in working closely with other team members, engineers and across teams
- ability to prioritize your own workload and work with minimal supervision when required
- university degree in Computer Science or formal sciences field is a plus
