ISS STOXX is actively looking for a Team Lead/Senior Software Engineer in Python/JavaScript/AWS to join the Mumbai Team (Goregaon East).

Overview

Join our team at ISS STOXX, where you'll be at the forefront of building and maintaining our financial platforms in US, UK and Australia. As a leading provider of industry-leading financial insights and market intelligence to our SaaS customers in the financial industry, we're committed to driving innovation and excellence. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Market Intelligence team, you will be developing new software products and maintaining and enhancing existing products. You will also be responsible for a small group of 2-3 engineers on the team.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 2-3 developers and drive projects independently or in collaboration with other dev teams
• Collaborate with local and global cross-functional teams
• Be responsible for mentorship, career growth, year-end reviews, promotions etc. of the team
• Work with leads to nurture a people-centric culture
• Choose the right frameworks/technologies and write clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
• Work with the engineering manager and product owner to scope out projects
• Manage technical debt
• Mentor and train junior developers and delegate tasks to them
• Participate in code reviews and manage the code base
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team for testing and deployment
• Facilitate agile scrum practices within the team
• Ensure all processes are followed, and projects are delivered on time
• Learn and adapt to new technologies, languages, and frameworks
  
  

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant work experience in development
• Must have at least 1+ years of experience managing 2-3 developers
• Expertise in system design and understanding of software architecture principles
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with interpreted languages like JavaScript or Python
• Experience with a JavaScript framework like React or Angular is a plus
• Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
• Experience using version control tools (Git/SVN)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  
  

Good To Have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with containerization and micro services architectures is also an advantage
• Financial industry experience.
