YOUR TASKS

• The System Test Engineer (STE) is responsible to define the test strategy together with the CTM Chief Engineer as well as to plan, describe & initiate all required DV & PV testing with the executing internal & external labs.
• Additionally, the STE is responsible for the majority of test equipment (fixtures & gauges) for single components, sub-assemblies and full product
• During testing, he is the main communication channel between the labs (as test execution instances) and the CTM Chief Engineer
• As QD is the communication path for testing topics to & from the customer, a close collaboration between STE and QD is essential

Technical background

• Set knowledge on Lighting products including the principles of operation of their subsystems
• Basic understanding of Mechanical, E/E and Lighting Engineering as well as Systems Engineering principles
• Experiences in test methods and tools
• Experiences with problem-solving methods (e.g. 5-Why´s)
• Experiences with classical simulation methods (FEA, CFD)

• Fluent English skills – oral and written
• Good communication skills on an international basis
• Coordination / planning / project management skills
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Stress resistant
• High level of self-motivation
• Proactive and independent working style

Academical & professional background

• University degree in the field of Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or comparable
> 3 yrs in automotive or comparable industries with high level of innovation
