System Administrator

Overview

We are looking for a skilled System Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing servers, networks, and IT infrastructure while possessing basic programming knowledge. This role is crucial in ensuring system reliability, security, and efficiency while also contributing to automation and scripting tasks. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining technical documentation and collaborating with developers to optimize system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux/Windows servers and cloud-based environments.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
• Manage and optimize network infrastructure, security configurations, and firewalls.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Maintain and improve IT documentation, including system configurations and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with developers to support deployment processes, CI/CD pipelines, and system integration.
• Implement and manage backup solutions and disaster recovery plans.
• Stay up-to-date with security best practices and apply patches and updates as needed.
• Provide technical support to internal teams for system-related issues.
• Document processes, system updates, and troubleshooting steps using Markdown.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
• Strong understanding of Linux and/or Windows server administration.
• Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls).
• Experience with virtualization and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef) is a plus.
• Understanding of security best practices, including access controls and system hardening.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
• Ability to write and maintain clear, concise technical documentation using Markdown.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Desirable (but not essential) Skills:

• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Basic knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with log monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Familiarity with API documentation and user guides.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
