Overview
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

● Responsible for keeping all client and infrastructure systems fully patched, according to
industry best practices and company guidelines.
● Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware,
systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying
completion of scheduled jobs.
● Develop and maintain system level documentation for the support of business
processes.
● Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
● Manage and expand unified communications platforms used for healthcare and
corporate operations, including the company’s call center operation.
● Manage Identity/security management and integrate with newer tools and solution
offerings.
● Approach problems from a solutions-focused approach, identifying and implementing
new technologies and services to meet the needs of Acuity Eye Group.
● Maximize automation and reduce manual involvement.
● Improve cloud environments by integrating new technology, optimizing the current
environment, and enhancing security.
● Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with
Company policies.
● Keep commitments and keep direct supervisor informed of work progress, timetables,
and issues.
● Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal and other regulations (e.g., OSHA, WC,
HIPAA, ADA, FEHA, DOL, HR policies and practices).
● Other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED:
Any combination of the following totaling 6 years of experience:
● College coursework in Information Technology (IT), IT Management, Computer Science,
or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its
proportional equivalent:
○ 60 semester hours or associate degree equals one year
○ 90 semester hours equals two years
○ 120 semester hours or bachelor’s degree equals three years
● Work experience in enterprise system administration with a focus on Microsoft Azure
Environments.
● Work experience managing hybrid cloud/on-prem environments.
● Enterprise work experience in companies with over 2000 users.
● Experience managing enterprise communication platforms.
(Note: Only a maximum of 3 years credit for college course work is available.)
DESIRABLE:
● Experience in the healthcare industry.
CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES/TALENTS:
● Google Cloud Platform, Azure & Active Directory,
● Experience in monitoring End User Computing operations and providing metrics.
● Experience with Python, Powershell, or other scripting tools.
● Experience managing client computers in an enterprise setting
● Strong understanding of process improvement and process automation methodologies.
● Advanced knowledge of OSI Model, IP Addressing, and subnetting
● Advanced understanding of network functions such as DHCP, DNS, AD, WINS.
● Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of
alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
