Job Summary:

Laya Tech Pvt Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Server Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of server architecture, cloud technologies, security protocols, and network configurations. This role requires expertise in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and ensuring high availability of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Server Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers, both on-premises and cloud-based.
• Infrastructure Management: Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient server architectures.
• Virtualization & Cloud Computing: Manage and optimize virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Security & Compliance: Ensure security best practices, including access control, patch management, and system hardening.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor server performance, conduct capacity planning, and fine-tune system configurations.
• Automation & Scripting: Utilize scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to automate server deployment and maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve complex server-related issues and provide Level 3 technical support.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with cross-functional teams and maintain detailed documentation of systems and processes.
• Willingness to travel and handle responsibilities at both onsite and offsite locations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in server engineering, administration, or related roles.
• Expertise in Windows Server, Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, Apache, Nginx, Load Balancing, and Firewalls.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus) and logging tools (ELK, Splunk).
• Experience in database management (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations.
• Knowledge of security frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Benchmarks is desirable.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹550,000.00 per year
