System Administrator

Overview

he System Administrator is responsible for maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliable operation of IT systems, including servers, networks, and security infrastructure. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, managing backups, and optimizing system performance to support business operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and enterprise applications.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system security and stability.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across IT systems.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations.
• Set up and maintain virtual machines, cloud services, and storage solutions.
• Configure and manage networking components, including firewalls, routers, and VPNs.
• Conduct data backups and disaster recovery planning to prevent data loss.
• Automate routine IT tasks and improve system efficiency.
• Work with IT security teams to enforce cybersecurity policies and prevent threats.
• Document system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, and macOS server environments.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and network protocols.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• CompTIA Server+ or CompTIA Security+
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Working Conditions:

• May require on-call support and occasional after-hours maintenance.
• Some travel may be required for remote site support.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
