Job Descriptions

System Management:

• Install, configure, and maintain servers (Windows 2019, 2022) and related infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and perform system upgrades.
• Manage user accounts and permissions across various systems.
• SharePoint Administration
• Ticketing Software

Network Administration:

• Set up and manage internal network infrastructure, including routers, firewalls, and switches.
• Implement and monitor network security policies.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and optimize performance.

Backup and Recovery:

• Implement and maintain backup strategies to ensure data security.
• Perform data recovery and disaster recovery procedures.
• Test backup systems to ensure reliability.

Security:

• Apply patches and updates to operating systems, applications, and hardware.
• Configure and maintain security software, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

System Monitoring and Performance Tuning:

• Monitor system logs, servers, and network traffic for potential issues.
• Analyze and report system performance, recommending improvements as necessary.
• Provide recommendations for hardware or software upgrades based on performance metrics.

Troubleshooting and Support:

• Provide timely and efficient technical support to end-users and other departments.
• Resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Create and maintain system documentation for troubleshooting, configuration, and best practices.

Automation and Scripting:

• Develop and implement automation scripts for system management and maintenance tasks (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Automate regular system updates, backups, and monitoring tasks.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work with other IT team members, departments, and vendors to resolve issues and improve system performance.
• Communicate effectively with non-technical users, providing assistance as needed.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain system documentation for configuration, operations, and processes.
• Report regularly on system health, security posture, and improvement recommendations to management.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in managing Windows server environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols and tools (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, etc.).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with database management systems (SQL, NoSQL).
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.).
