Job Description Summary :

Total Experience: 3 Years - 7 Years

Location : Gurgaon/Hyderabad

NCR Voyix is looking for a skilled Cloud Data Engineer with a strong background in SQL, Azure, Databricks, Synapse, Azure Data Lake, DevOps, Python, PySpark and cloud-based large scale data applications with a passion for data quality, performance, and cost optimization. The Data Engineering Team is responsible for the technology that enables NCR Voyix to use data as an asset to drive business value.

The ideal candidate will develop in an Agile environment, contributing to the design, and implementation of Data products. This role involves hands-on coding and collaboration with multi-disciplined teams to achieve project objectives.

Key Areas of Responsibility include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems.
• Hands-on experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Dagster, Apache Airflow).
• Implement data integration, transformation, and validation processes.
• Ensure data quality and integrity across various data sources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements.
• Optimize data storage and retrieval for performance and cost-efficiency.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues.
• Implement security and compliance measures for data handling.
• Experience in developing APIs, and knowledge of microservices and application containerization.
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• Requires BS/BA in Technology and 4+ years of IT Analyst experience or MS/MA and 3+ years of experience in related field.
• Solid understanding of data engineering concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
• Advanced SQL skills, with experience in complex queries, query optimization, and various database systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git or GitLab.
• Knowledge of Integration Technologies like Informatica, Qlik or Talend.
• Experience in designing and developing ETL data pipelines.
• Experience with CDC processes and tools.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Databricks, Spark, or Kafka.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with data warehousing solutions like BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
• Experience with or advanced courses on data science and machine learning.
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with DevOps support for CDC and ETL job scheduling processes and tools
• Any experience with BI tools
