Your Career

We are looking for a motivated Staff Cloud FinOps engineer to join the DevOps group based at our India development ( IDC ) center. This role is in the FinOps charter who ensures the cost effectiveness of our hosting & other services. Must be able to write or install tools to bring visibility in AWS and GCP

Your Impact

• The AWS / GCP Cloud FinOps engineer will serve as a vital link between our Finance and Engineering teams. This technical individual will be responsible for analyzing and managing our cloud expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities, collaborating with engineering leads to implement optimizations, and delivering comprehensive reports to both finance and engineering leadership.
• Work closely with engineering leads to implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for greater financial efficiency in our cloud environments AWS and GCP

Your Experience

• 3-4 years in FinOps, Cloud Engineering, or Cloud Financial Management focused on cost optimization strategies and governance in AWS / GCP
• AWS and/or GCP certified
• Familiarity with cloud cost management tools and automation.
• Proficiency with code language (Python / Go - preferred) , have written tools to to meet such relevant requirements.
• Proficiency in the cloud (AWS & GCP - preferred)
• Very strong in AWS cost-explorer and Cost API’s and have used AWS and GCP cost API’s
• Proficiency with Terraform
• Good understanding of Docker & Kubernetes and all other cloud managed services like EC2, RDS, Cassandra, MySQL, OpenSearch , GCP Pub-Sub etc.
• Experience with working with internal and external customers and stakeholders and focus on outcomes
• Ability to strike good and meaningful conversations with stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
