We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our Application Management Team as an L1 and L2 Support Resource. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for our applications, ensuring smooth operations and resolving any issues that may arise. The role involves ensuring system uptime, addressing user-reported issues, and coordinating with different teams for incident resolution
Responsibilities:
· Provide L1 and L2 support for applications, responding to user inquiries and resolving technical issues
· Collaborate with internal teams to identify and address application issues
· Monitor application performance and conduct regular maintenance tasks
· Create and update documentation for troubleshooting procedures and best practices
· Escalate unresolved issues to L2 or relevant teams
· Coordinate with OS and middleware teams for patching and upgrades
· Raise and track tickets for network port openings, server health checks, and other requests
· Document incidents, resolutions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
· Communicate effectively with users and stakeholders for updates and resolutions
· Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of issues to meet SLAs.
· Perform routine health checks of servers, applications, and middleware.
Must have skills:
· Basic knowledge of Oracle databases and middleware
· Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
· Basic Cloud implementation skill such as migrations (On-prem to cloud) and upgrades
· Good knowledge of SQL, Unix/Linux, and scripting languages
· Familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
· Good understanding of networking fundamentals routing, various protocol and server environments.
· Understanding over deployment of patches and updates (OS, middleware, and application)
· Understanding over application security, audit, compliance requirement for an enterprise application
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
· Experience in working with cross-functional teams
· 2+ years of experience in application support or a similar role (Preferred in Banking)
· Strong understanding of ITIL framework and best practices
