Overview
Quorum Software is seeking an IT Sr. system Administrator to join the infrastructure team and working across company boundaries to build, automate and maintain a scalable and highly available infrastructure. This role works in partnership with engineering in developing, deploying, and maintaining our existing and forthcoming network and technology stack. You will lead projects designing, implementing, and maintaining our global infrastructure. We are looking for analytical, agile, and influential engineer who can quickly deliver meaningful results and solutions with the flexibility to accommodate evolving business needs and shifting priorities
Responsibilities
- Maintaining & supporting Windows, Linux Systems & VMware infrastructure
- Provide support for servers and infrastructure including, but not VMware vSphere & Hyper-V
- Experience with configuration managements tools known in the community (e.g. Ansible)
- Management, maintenance, and automation of IT systems using PowerShell
- Managing backup systems, disaster recovery (DR), and data recovery solutions
- Oversee monitoring, maintenance, configuration, and system reliability
- Maintain up to date documentation about system configurations, maintenance, and upgrades
- Provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
- Will be part of the on-call rotation as well as participating in non-business hour maintenance activities
- Work closely with engineering to help report issues and lead project deliverables and provide status and progress reports
Requirements
- 7+ years of Extensive Windows Core & Linux Systems Engineering (setup, configuration, maintenance, and upgrading)
- 7+ years of experience with VMware & Hyper-V Infrastructure through hands-on delivery
- 7+ years implementing and maintaining enterprise backup and storage solutions
- Experience with programming and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform)
- Knowledge in a scripting/programming language such as Python, bash or PowerShell
- Experience deploying and supporting an effective patch management solution
- Demonstrated ability to resolve complex troubleshooting issues
- Self-motivated, goal oriented and meticulous individual, who can adhere to departmental process
and procedures and able to work with minimal supervision
- Able to multi-task and manage changing priorities to meet all demands
- Must be able to do some after business hours and weekend work
- Relevant certifications (e.g., RHEL, Ansible)
Preferred Skills
- In depth Knowledge with backup tools such as Veeam
- Familiarity with BigFix patch management
