We are an insurtech startup backed by Y Combinator, focused on transforming the underwriting landscape with Generative AI. Our SaaS solution helps insurance companies in the US make smarter, faster decisions by optimizing underwriting processes, reducing risk, and improving premiums. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for an ambitious, results-driven Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:
Code Quality and Development::

• Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and maintainable codebases.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, perform code reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production bugs efficiently.

• Lead and contribute to Low-Level Design (LLD) and High-Level Design (HLD) for complex system architectures.
• Drive technical discussions to define the technical roadmap for the product.

• Design, develop, and integrate APIs to ensure seamless functionality with third-party systems.
• Ensure security, scalability, and performance in API implementations.

• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Implement robust CI/CD pipelines and monitor systems using AWS services.

• Mentor interns and freshers to build their technical capabilities and confidence.

• Take full ownership of the product lifecycle, from ideation to deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of business goals with technical deliverables.
• Exhibit a proactive, managerial ownership attitude in delivering results.

• Play a key role in scaling products from 1 to 10, contributing to product-market fit and growth strategies.
• Adapt and thrive in fast-paced, dynamic startup environments.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Python, specifically in building SaaS applications.
• 2+ years of experience in AWS services and cloud infrastructure.
• 2+ years of expertise in LLD and HLD for designing scalable and reliable systems.
• Strong knowledge of API integration and troubleshooting production bugs.
• 1+ years of experience in managing code quality, performing code reviews, and adhering to development best practices.
• Understanding of frontend-backend integration for delivering seamless user experiences.

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
• Exposure to observability tools for performance monitoring and debugging.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of frontend development, with experience in JavaScript frameworks like React.
