Inviting applications for the role of Reporting Business Analyst (4D)
Role Summary
As a Reporting Business Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams by gathering, analyzing, and translating business requirements into actionable insights for dashboarding and reporting solutions. This position involves overseeing the development of various reports, analysing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely information is available for decision-making purposes.

Key Responsibilities
1. Requirements Gathering & Analysis
o Facilitate workshops and engage with underwriting, operations, and claims teams to gather detailed reporting and dashboarding requirements.
o Analyze insurance-specific business processes, including submissions, quotes, binds, renewals, and claims, to identify key metrics and KPIs.
o Translate business requirements into technical specifications for dashboards and reports.
2. Collaboration with Technical Teams
o Work with data engineers and developers to ensure data sources are integrated and aligned with business needs.
o Ensure accurate mapping of data from systems like policy administration, claims, and underwriting platforms into dashboards.
o Validate designs and mockups prepared by the technical team to ensure alignment with business expectations.
3. Testing & Quality Assurance
o Develop and execute UAT plans, including test scenarios, scripts, and acceptance criteria for dashboards and reports.
o Collaborate with end users to validate dashboards and reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and usability.
o Identify and communicate discrepancies or issues to technical teams for resolution.
4. Insurance-Specific Reporting
o Collaborate on the design of reports and dashboards for insurance processes, including:
Underwriting productivity and efficiency metrics
Submission and quote analysis
Bind rates and TAT performance tracking
Claims reserves, loss ratios, and incurred losses
Policy lifecycle metrics (renewals, endorsements)
Broker performance reports
o Support periodic reporting needs for regulatory, compliance, or operational purposes.
5. Stakeholder Management
o Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for business stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment on reporting deliverables.
o Facilitate communication between business teams and technical teams to resolve questions and ensure mutual understanding.
o Provide ongoing support and training to end users to maximize the value of dashboards and reports.
6. Documentation
o Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, data flow diagrams, UAT plans, and user guides.
o Document and standardize reporting processes to ensure consistency and scalability.
7. Continuous Improvement
o Identify gaps in existing reporting frameworks and recommend improvements or enhancements.
o Stay updated on trends in insurance reporting, visualization tools, and data governance best practices to bring innovative ideas to the team.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant years of experience in reporting, data analysis, or a related role.
- Proficient in using reporting tools such as Tableau or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Data entry, COE System Management.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Familiarity with SQL and database management is a plus.
- Knowledge of business intelligence concepts and methodologies.
