OSI Systems is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Microsoft Purview Data Protection Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data protection, privacy, and compliance, with specific expertise in Microsoft Purview. This role involves implementing and managing data protection strategies, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations, and providing insights to enhance our data protection framework to achieve Information Security long term goals.
Responsibilities: - Implement and manage data protection policies and procedures using Microsoft Purview.
- Monitor and analyze data protection metrics to ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
- Analyze data to identify potential insider risks.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of data protection practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate data protection risks.
- Provide training and support to employees on data protection best practices.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to data protection policies and procedures.
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of data protection incidents.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Preferred
- Professionally trained in Microsoft Purview platform.
- Privacy and information security-related certifications such as CIPP, CISSP, etc.
- Familiarity with standards and frameworks such as NIST 800-171, ISO 27001/27002, PCI-DSS
- Previous experience working in an enterprise environment
- Willingness to accommodate other time zones
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data protection, privacy, and compliance.
- Expertise in Microsoft Purview and its data protection capabilities.
- Strong understanding of data protection regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, etc.
- Strong understanding of cyber security principles and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP, CIPM, CISSP) are a plus.
Requirements
- 5+ years of work experience in data protection and cyber security experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on work experience in implementing and managing Microsoft Purview solutions.
- Experience conducting regular audits and assessments of data protection practices.
- Working Knowledge of network security, cloud security, endpoint security, identity and access management and data protection methods.
- Working knowledge of data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA is preferable.
- Capability to clearly communicate data protection concepts and risks
- Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field
- Off-hours support may be needed
