Sr. Data Engineer - Microsoft Fabric

Overview

We are seeking a Microsoft Fabric Developer & Data Scientist who will lead the design, development, and deployment of data-driven solutions within the Microsoft Fabric platform. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of data engineering, analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence processes. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—data engineers, business analysts, and software developers—to deliver actionable insights that inform key business strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Develop Data Solutions
• Architect, implement, and optimize data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric tools (Data Factory, Dataflows, etc.).
• Integrate diverse data sources, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability for advanced analytics.
• Machine Learning & Advanced Analytics
• Build, train, and deploy machine learning models to drive predictive and prescriptive analytics.
• Leverage Python, R, or similar tools within Microsoft Fabric and Azure Machine Learning to solve complex problems.
• Business Intelligence
• Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI and other Fabric services.
• Translate business requirements into compelling, user-friendly dashboards and reports.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
• Work with project stakeholders to gather requirements, identify data-driven opportunities, and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide guidance and support to team members, including best practices in data engineering and data science.
• Performance Optimization
• Monitor and optimize data workflows, storage, and computational resources to maintain efficient, scalable solutions.
• Evaluate new technologies, methodologies, and tools to continuously improve our data capabilities.
• Documentation & Governance
• Create comprehensive documentation of data pipelines, machine learning models, and analytics workflows.
• Maintain data governance and compliance standards to ensure data security and integrity.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Technical Expertise:
• Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric (e.g., Data Factory, Dataflows, Power BI, etc.) and Azure-based analytics services.
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, or similar programming and scripting languages.
• Strong background in machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and data science libraries.
• Data Engineering Experience:
• Hands-on experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes, data governance, and big data technologies.
• Analytical Skills: Strong understanding of statistics, predictive modeling, and data mining techniques.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to present complex analytical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft certification(s) in Azure, Data Engineering, or Power BI.
• Experience with real-time analytics, streaming data, or IoT integrations.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines for data solutions.
• Knowledge of MLOps practices for deploying and monitoring machine learning models in production.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?1,000,000.00 - ?3,500,000.00 per year

Experience:

• data scientist: 5 years (Preferred)
• Microsoft fabric: 3 years (Preferred)
