This position will join our India team, operating out of our Bangalore office where we have nearly 100 team members.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Triage Engineer to join our software development team. A software triage engineer is responsible for managing the incoming flow of software issues including bugs, errors, or feature requests from internal and external stakeholders. Their primary role involves prioritizing these issues based on factors like severity, impact on users, and available resources. They will work closely with developers, quality assurance teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that critical issues are addressed promptly while balancing the overall development roadmap and resource constraints.

As a Software Triage Engineer I, Individuals are expected to fulfil the following responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, and prioritize software defects reported by customers, internal teams, and automated testing tools.
- Reproduce and isolate reported issues to identify root causes and determine appropriate resolutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, quality assurance engineers, product managers, and the support team to prioritize and resolve software defects in a timely manner.
- Document detailed bug reports, including steps to reproduce, expected behavior, and actual behavior.
- Monitor and track the status of reported issues throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on issue resolution progress and escalate critical issues as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve software quality and streamline the triage process
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in software development, quality assurance, or customer success.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools.
- Familiarity with Agile software development practices.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience working with SQL.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) used in building SaaS applications.
