Software Tester

Overview

*Job Summary:*

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically sound Software Tester to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. This position will analyze requirements, write and execute test cases, detect and resolve software defects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. You will apply quality engineering principles throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring a seamless user experience across devices, browsers, and operating systems.

*Key Responsibilities:*

1. *Requirement Analysis:*

- Analyze Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), Design Documents, and Solution Architecture Documents.

- Prepare a detailed query list to clarify incomplete requirements and gather additional information for effective testing.

2. *Test Planning and Execution:*

- Test cases writing, execution, and maintenance that identify bugs in the system, such as UI and usability.

- Participation in high-level test scenarios, challenges, risks, resource requirements, and test estimates during test planning meetings.

3. *Defect Management:*

- Identify, track, and report defects and inconsistencies in software.

- Engage with development teams to come up with solutions in a timely manner and verify fixes.

4. *Cross-Platform Testing:*

Software will have consistency and functionality in cross-device, cross-browser, and cross-operating system usage.

5. *Agile Collaboration:*

Applying quality engineering principles across the entire Agile product lifecycle.

- Track testing processes in relation to the overall workflow of software development.

6. *Reporting and Communication:*

Prepare and distribute status reports on testing activities to the project manager and stakeholders.

Plan and lead pre-test and post-test meetings.

7. *Documentation:*

- All test-product documentation should be complete, accurate, and up-to-date.

*Required Skills and Qualifications:*

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.

- Critical thinking and analytical skills to evaluate bug reports and prioritize tests.

- Good knowledge of automation testing frameworks and tools.

- Proficiency in automation programming languages and tools.

- Strong SQL and database management skills.

- Multi-tasking skills with a sense of ownership and accountability.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Efficient management of time for effective delivery and result in given time.

- A team player who is proactive, always looking to improve the quality and who is capable of getting adjusted to dynamic working environments

*Preferably Skills:*

- A background of working on CI/CD pipelines, and test automation, with an environment in DevOps

- Performance testing skills with knowledge of the right tools and techniques.

It demands that test automation is done by making extensive knowledge of scripting languages: python, JavaScript, Java or other, and real usage of tools like: Selenium, JIRA, Postman and others.

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
