Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Software Tester with 2+ years of experience to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying bugs, and collaborating with developers to enhance software functionality. Your expertise in manual and automated testing will play a key role in delivering high-quality applications to users.
Educational Requirements:
● Master/Bachelor’s Degree : ○ Fields: Computer Science, Web Development, or related.
Key Skills: ● Understanding and reviewing requirements- To perform software testing, it is important to understand, review all the requirements and proceed with the necessary steps. ● Creating the test cases- After understanding the requirements, creating test cases is one of the major software tester roles and responsibilities. ● Test Documentation- The testers need to maintain the test cases, test plans, and test scripts to inspect and remove errors. ● Test Execution- Executing the test cases equally is an integral part of software testing. Testers can assess if the software product is free from defects, performs accurately, or needs improvement. ● Reporting Defects- Another task of software testers is to report the defects to the developers. They need to do proper documentation with details to help remove them. ● Collaborating with Developers- To ensure a smooth and effortless working experience, both developers and testers need to work closely. So, they can verify the issues and resolve them instantly. Essential Skills Required to hire a Software Tester Effective communication, learning attitude, and networking with professionals across the field are some fundamental skills that software testers must learn.
However, these are some crucial skills that every software tester must have. 1- Automation Tests The increasing demand for faster development is raising the complexities and integration in the applications. They must learn automation testing to achieve better efficiency and accuracy. 4- SDLC Knowledge The SDLC stands for Software Development Life Cycle which is a framework that defines the software development starting from the first phase to the final deployment and maintenance. Thus, understanding SDLC is an essential skill as it allows testers to align their testing activities with various stages of software development. 5- Logical and Rational Thinking Logical and rational thinking is a major software testing skill that allows testers to approach testing in a systematic and structured way. They can break down complex problems into smaller parts which help in analyzing to draw logical conclusions.
