Software Tester

Overview

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Tester with experience in both manual and automated testing to join our Quality Assurance team. As an experienced tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products by designing, executing, and maintaining comprehensive test cases, as well as identifying and resolving defects. You will work closely with development teams to ensure software meets business requirements and user expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute test planning, test case design, and test execution for both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Perform manual and automated testing for complex systems, ensuring high-quality releases.
• Identify, document, and manage defects, providing detailed information for troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Work with developers to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings as part of Agile teams.
• Maintain and enhance automated test scripts, including creating new scripts for regression testing and performance testing.
• Develop and execute performance, load, and stress tests to ensure software scalability and reliability.
• Continuously analyze testing processes, proposing improvements to increase testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements and testing efforts.
• Review project documentation and specifications to identify gaps or inconsistencies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in software testing, including both manual and automated testing.
• In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar).
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with databases and SQL, including writing queries for test verification.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently troubleshoot and diagnose issues.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple testing efforts in parallel.
