Software Tester (2+ Years)

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manual and Automation Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in both manual and automated testing methodologies and be well-versed in the software development life cycle. The candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

Responsibilities:

1. **Test Planning and Strategy:**

- Develop comprehensive test plans based on project requirements and specifications.

- Define testing strategies for both manual and automated testing.

2. **Manual Testing:**

- Execute manual test cases to ensure the functionality, usability, and performance of software applications.

- Identify and document defects, ensuring accurate and detailed bug reports.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and validate that they are met.

3. **Automation Testing:**

- Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts for regression testing and feature validation.

- Continuously enhance and optimize automated test suites for maximum efficiency.

- Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) process.

4. **Test Execution and Reporting:**

- Execute test cases, analyze results, and provide detailed test summary reports.

- Monitor and communicate testing progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders.

- Work closely with developers to reproduce, debug, and resolve identified issues.

5. **Collaboration and Communication:**

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure a thorough understanding of requirements.

- Communicate effectively with team members and project stakeholders regarding testing activities, progress, and issues.

6. **Continuous Learning:**

- Stay updated on industry best practices, testing tools, and emerging technologies.

- Actively participate in knowledge-sharing sessions within the testing community.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

2. 1+ years of experience in manual and automation testing.

3. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.

4. Proficiency in test case design, test execution, and defect tracking.

5. Experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts using industry-standard tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).

6. Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.

7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

8. Strong communication and collaboration skills.

9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

10. ISTQB or other relevant certifications are a plus.
