Software tester

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Software Tester to join our team. As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products by identifying and resolving defects in the development process. You will work closely with developers and product managers to ensure that all applications are thoroughly tested and meet user expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various software applications.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Identify, report, and track defects, working with development teams to resolve issues.
• Review and analyze system requirements, ensuring they are complete and accurate.
• Perform both manual and automated testing across different browsers and devices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Provide feedback on usability, product design, and overall user experience.
• Document test results, provide test reports, and suggest improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in software testing (manual or automated).
• Familiarity with testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with API testing is a plus.
• Knowledge of coding languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in automated testing.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
