Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad. This is a full-time, mid-level position requiring a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 6 years of work experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software products by designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing with solid understanding of quality assurance processes.
• Proficiency in Docker (Mandatory skill) with practical experience in containerization in testing environments.
• Strong experience with TestNG (Mandatory skill) for designing and executing test cases in Java environments.
• Expertise in Cucumber (Mandatory skill) for behavior-driven development and automated acceptance testing.
• Thorough knowledge of Agile methodologies and their application in software testing processes.
• Skilled in various scripting languages for test automation and process improvement.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with an analytical mindset for identifying software defects.
• Familiarity with Testrail or similar test management tools for tracking and reporting testing activities.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for software releases ensuring software functionality and performance.
• Collaborate closely with software developers to comprehend product modifications and diagnose any issues.
• Implement testing procedures for new software features and conduct regression testing for existing systems.
• Utilize automation tools to streamline testing processes and reduce manual testing efforts.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using established defect tracking processes.
• Participate in peer reviews of test plans, specifications, and results to ensure high-quality outputs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement practices by suggesting enhancements to test methodologies and tools.
• Prepare and present testing reports and summaries to stakeholders, communicating quality metrics and problem areas.
