Software Test Engineer

Overview

Job Overview:

We are looking for a 2* year experience Manual Tester* with a strong understanding of software testing principles, test case design, defect tracking, and reporting. The ideal candidate should have experience in functional, regression, integration, and UI testing across web and mobile applications.

Responsibilities:

> Analyze business and technical requirements to create detailed test cases.
Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and UI testing on web and mobile applications.
> Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.).
> Conduct cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure compatibility.
> Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure a high-quality product.
> Write and maintain test scenarios, test plans, and test summary reports.
> Work closely with the automation team to identify test cases for automation.
> Perform API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger.
> Participate in agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

> Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
> Testing Expertise: Functional, Regression, Smoke, UI, Cross-Browser, Compatibility Testing.
> Bug Tracking Tools: JIRA, Bugzilla, Trello, or similar.
> Test Case Management Tools: TestRail, qTest, Zephyr, or similar.
> Basic Database Testing: SQL queries to validate backend data.
> API Testing: Experience with Postman or similar tools.
> Agile Methodologies: Experience in Scrum/Kanban environments.
> Good Communication Skills to report issues and collaborate with teams.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

> Knowledge of automation testing (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
> Exposure to performance testing using JMeter.
> Experience in mobile testing (Android & iOS) using tools like Appium.
> Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and testing in DevOps environments.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Morning shift

Supplemental Pay:

• Performance bonus
• Yearly bonus
