What you'll do as Software Engineer (UI)

In addition to producing clean, effective, and testable code:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize responsive web applications using React.js, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Develop new features and UI components for React applications using MUI.
• Enhance and maintain the frontend of the monolithic application using SASS.
• Work on building and evolving the design system, ensuring consistency across the product and aligning with design tokens and component libraries.
• Contribute to the evolution of design system documentation, governance, and developer guidelines.
• Utilize and leverage Generative AI to design, develop, and test UI and components.
• Ensure high performance, scalability, and reusability of UI components.
• Implement best practices for accessibility, security, and frontend performance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry standards.
• Collaborate with UX designers and product managers to translate design mockups into functional components.
• Work with REST APIs and integrate frontend applications with backend services.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Stay up to date with emerging frontend technologies and advocate for improvements.

Requirements:

• 3 - 5 years of experience in frontend development, preferably in a SaaS or enterprise software environment.
• Strong proficiency in React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS.
• Hands-on experience with component-based architecture and design systems (MUI, Tailwind, or similar).
• Experience in working with SASS, SCSS.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services.
• Experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG), responsive design, and internationalization.
• Experience with design system methodologies, atomic design principles, and component-driven development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

Nice to have or can be learned:

Experience with:

• Developing components with Storybook.
• Frontend testing frameworks like Jest, React Testing Library.
• Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and Jira.
• Basic understanding of micro-frontends.
• Cloud platforms like Azure.
• Knowledge of Figma or other design tools for collaboration with designers.
• Experience contributing to design systems.
