We are seeking a talented and innovative AI Specialist to join our team, focusing on developing advanced speech recognition technologies for our voice assistant model in the automotive sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge and experience in the latest trends and technologies within the AI/ML space. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing Speech & GenAI solutions, conducting research on emerging technologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance our product offerings.

Your Impact

  • Research and Development: Stay up to date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in AI and natural language processing (NLP) technologies and its releases. Conduct research to recommend innovative solutions w.r.t tools, process that can be implemented within the organization.
  • Integrate LLM Capabilities: Design and implement software components / tools to integrate LLM capabilities into Cerence's AI speech recognition releases.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse large sets of data to extract meaningful insights during model releases.
  • Validation and Implementation: Conduct testing and validation of ASR+NLU traditional models and LLM-based features to support the deployment of models into various environments and ensure high performance, reliability, scalability, and robustness in real-world scenarios.
  • Collaboration and Cross-Functional Engagement: Collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, data scientists and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of AI solutions into existing product releases.
  • Mentoring and Training: Share knowledge and expertise with other team members through training sessions and workshops, promoting a culture of learning and innovation.


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. A master’s or PhD in a relevant discipline is a plus.
  • Proficiency in end-to-end programming languages - React for Front-end and Python for Back-end.
  • Proficiency in dev-Ops with CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker, K8s Kubernetes, Git
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Microsoft Azure.
  • Proven experience in maintaining and improving release pipelines for ASR+NLU models.
  • Should have experience in enhancing delivery processes, release notes generation and documentation.
  • Past experience on BI solutions for dashboard and reporting.
  • Strong understanding about Generative AI and Large Language Models which includes Fine tuning of LLMs, Implementation of LLM based Agents, RAG Pipelines, Function and Tool calling, and deploying models for real-world applications. (Preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
