Software Engineer (Magento)

Summary of the position
Contribute to Magento Practice initiatives and product development within the PMC Professional Services Centre Of Excellence. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, incorporating them into the Magento Practice strategies. Uphold quality standards and adhere to best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Key accountabilities

• Development and Unit Testing for Magento projects as Magento developer and assisting in design and technical leadership and project management.
• Good understanding of setting up and modifying Magento 2 stores (mobile/desktop) or modules (payments/basket etc) from the client requirements
• Ability to execute assigned tasks without assistance
• Ability to understand tasks or issues and implement resolutions
• Ability to identify own areas for development and work towards them
• Ability to engage with team for allocated task
• Understand company standards / processes and follow them
• Act as subject matter expert on Magento 2 features to advise customer on possible workflow and outcomes.
• Prior experience must be in one of the Magento’s Open Source, Adobe Commerce or Commerce cloud.

Key accountabilities

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in implementing Magento/Adobe Commerce solutions.
• Demonstrable experience of Magento2 API Integration with various 3rd party such as ERP or WMS or Payment gateway.
• Full understanding of customization, themes, layout, optimization, modularization, security, patches, marketplace component for Magento 2 solution.
• Strong understanding of web framework (any of the vue/react/express/Laravel) and web user interface design technique (i.e responsive)
• Good understanding of GIT, Bitbucket, JQuery, JavaScript, CSS, LESS
• Good understanding of Figma or Balsamiq
• Understanding of MySQL/MSSQL and Relational database fundamentals
• Good understanding of Cloud technologies such as AWS (EC2, Storage) or Azure for hosting & deployment
• Good client communication skills.
• Demonstrable track record of successfully coordinating projects on leading e-commerce platforms such as Magento2.
• Meticulous attention to detail, adept at multitasking, and consistently meeting deadlines.
