About the Team
The Product Information Manager team oversees the organization's Product Information Management system, ensuring accurate, consistent, and accessible product data across business units. Their work enables efficient data integration and supports strategic business initiatives, helping the company leverage product data for improved sales and marketing of packaged products.
About the Role
This position involves performing moderate research, design, and development assignments for the Propel Product Information Management (PIM) application built on top of Salesforce. The role requires leveraging Salesforce's platform capabilities while adhering to industry standards and PIM product goals.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the product team to design, develop, and enhance Propel PIM application features on Salesforce.
- Write and review detailed specifications and translate business requirements into technical designs.
- Develop high-quality code for system components with moderate complexity, adhering to Salesforce and industry best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including bug fixes, performance bottlenecks, and integration challenges.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
- Stay updated with Salesforce platform updates (e.g., seasonal releases) and integrate new features into the Propel PIM application.
- Work within various development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
- Leverage Python for data processing tasks, AWS for cloud-based solutions, and Java/Apex for back-end development where applicable.
- Keep abreast of new technology developments in Salesforce, AWS, and PIM-related technologies
Requirements
- Minimum two years of software engineering experience, preferably with Salesforce development.
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Salesforce platform development, including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Familiarity with Salesforce configuration and administration tools, such as Flows, Process Builder, and Custom Objects.
- Development experience with languages including but not limited to: Apex, Java, Python, JavaScript, HTML, XML, SQL.
- Knowledge of Java/J2EE or .Net is a plus.
- Familiarity with AWS services like Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and API Gateway.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based deployment and integration tools is an added benefit.
- Strong skills in data modeling, SOQL, and integration tools like Salesforce Connect or APIs (REST/SOAP).
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and test-driven development (TDD).
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD tools.
- Understanding PIM systems and product data lifecycle is a plus.
- Knowledge of Salesforce AppExchange ecosystem.
