Job Description

As a Software Engineer Consultant II (Java Full Stack), you will design, develop, and implement high-quality applications, following the 12-factor principles to ensure product scalability and maintainability. You will be responsible for building responsive front-end interfaces using React JS, and robust back-end services using Java and Oracle. Your experience with DevOps tools like Jenkins will drive continuous integration, deployment, and delivery. You will engage in agile practices such as test-driven development (TDD) and continuous feedback loops to create cutting-edge solutions while collaborating across teams to achieve seamless product releases. Additionally, you will mentor junior developers and contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring that technology choices meet user needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities

1. Application Development:

• Build and maintain front-end applications using React JS and back-end services using Java and Oracle.
• Implement scalable and maintainable solutions using 12-factor app methodology.

2. DevOps Practices:

• Establish and maintain continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines using Jenkins.
• Collaborate on infrastructure automation and containerization to support efficient software delivery.

3. Agile and XP Collaboration:

• Actively participate in agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and iteration planning.
• Use test-driven development (TDD) and pair programming to ensure high-quality code.

4. Problem Solving and Architecture Design:

• Solve complex technical problems and deliver innovative solutions that enhance product performance.
• Contribute to architectural discussions, ensuring design aligns with business objectives and scalability.

5. Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing:

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, helping them grow their technical skills.
• Share knowledge within the team and foster a culture of continuous learning.

6. Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including UX, QA, and product management, to ensure cohesive product delivery.
• Engage in design discussions and decision-making, providing input based on technical expertise and customer requirements.

Education

• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Experience

• 2 or more years of experience (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This job does not have supervisory duties.

• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
